Treehouse Staff Appreciation: June 29–July 3

Treehouse offices will be closed from Monday, June 29, to Friday, July 3, for staff appreciation. Referrals will still be accepted during this time, but please note that referrals submitted between Friday, June 27 and Friday, July 3, will not be processed until staff return on Monday, July 6.

We are now accepting referrals for our 2026-2027 program year! Referrals for Just-in-Time Funding and the Treehouse Store that were submitted and approved prior to June 1st will expire on June 30th if not renewed. Youth already enrolled in Graduation Success DO NOT need yearly referral renewals. We encourage you to submit updated referrals for youth on your caseload in the month of June to avoid any interruption of services.

Educational Advocacy referrals submitted after June 5 will be considered for the 2026-2027 school year; referrals submitted on or before June 5 will be processed as part of the 2025-2026 school year. Please note that youth referred for Educational Advocacy during the summer months will be assigned to an Advocate in early August.

Educational Advocacy

Educational Advocacy is a statewide program serving K–12 students who are attending, or attempting to attend public school in Washington State, and are experiencing educational barriers. Learn more about Educational Advocacy and program eligibility here.

Please note that Educational Advocacy is not able to serve the following youth: students in preschool or pre-k; those who have already graduated from high school; or those who have obtained their GED.

Graduation Success pairs high school-age youth currently seeking their high school diploma or GED with an Education Specialist who helps them engage and invest in their education and future. We will attempt to engage all eligible youth once we receive their referral. Learn more about Graduation Success and program eligibility here.

Graduation Success

Youth who live in or are placed with a caregiver who lives in one of the school districts currently open to new Graduation Success referrals, but is enrolled in: a state-accredited online program (e.g., Insight School of Washington, Washington Connections Academy, etc.); a charter school; are pursuing a GED; or are enrolled in some other accredited non-traditional high school completion program; might still be eligible for Graduation Success.

Graduation Success: Tribal Engagement

Graduation Success: Tribal Engagement and Dual-System Involved Youth

Tribal Engagement pairs high-school-aged youth currently seeking their high school diploma or GED with a Tribal Education Specialist who helps them engage and invest in their education and future. Available to youth statewide (no school district restriction) who are affiliated with the Lummi Tribe of the Lummi Reservation and the Puyallup Tribe of the Puyallup Reservation. Nearly all of our Graduation Success teams are experiencing waitlists. Sometimes the wait time to work with our Tribal Education Specialists is longer than the time to work with our general Education Specialists. How would you like us to prioritize your referral?

Graduation Success Coaching

Graduation Success Coaching serve students for one (1) year post-high school graduation and focus on short-term goals related to obtaining a degree or credential, a living wage, and stable housing.

The Treehouse Store

The Treehouse Store (Formerly The Wearhouse)

Available to youth statewide who are 5–21 years of age and to youth ages 0–4 with a placement in King County or a case held in King County. Youth must have an open dependency case with either the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF); the federal foster care system; or one of the tribal foster care systems.

Looking for Holiday Magic or Driver’s Assistance?

Holiday Magic

Holiday Magic does not accept referrals, but receives program eligibility directly from DCYF and participating tribes. Holiday Magic then reaches out to caregivers through email and letter notifications. The Holiday Magic gift request form can be accessed on our website here.

Driver’s Assistance

Driver’s Assistance does not require referrals. Eligible youth, their caregivers, or their social workers can submit requests on our website here. Eligibility for Driver’s Assistance will be verified through DCYF or tribe-specific ICW Director on a monthly basis. An information flyer about Driver’s Assistance can be downloaded here.
